We are looking for estimators whose figures match reality, so clients never hear about "extra work" halfway through.
What you will do
- Taking off labour and material quantities from working drawings
- Building estimates by trade and by stage
- Calculating stage amounts for stage-by-stage payment of trades
- Comparing estimate with actuals when a project closes
- Keeping the rate and supplier price database up to date
What we expect from you
- At least 2 years estimating renovation or fit-out work
- Confident in Excel or Google Sheets, able to read drawings
- Understanding of methods and material usage
- Attention to detail and accuracy with numbers
How we review the result
- Quantities are spot-checked against the drawings
- Variance between estimate and actuals is reviewed line by line at project close
- Every item in the project is covered, no missing lines
- Estimates delivered on the agreed date

Pay and working arrangements are discussed individually. We are growing into a large construction company and need people who want to grow with us.

What are estimates based on?
The working drawings and the designer's specification. If data is missing, ask the designer rather than assume.
Is the work remote?
Partly. Sometimes a site visit is needed to confirm quantities.
