How much does leak protection cost?
Installing a one-bathroom system starts from 250 ₾ labour, an extra sensor is 25 ₾ and an extra motorised valve 70 ₾. We match equipment to your budget and agree the total before work starts.
How does the system work?
Sensors sit on the floor. When water touches one, the controller closes the inlet valves and raises an alarm; with a Wi-Fi module you also get a phone alert.
Why does this matter in Batumi if I live abroad?
Many Batumi flats stand empty for long periods, and a leak can go unnoticed for weeks until it reaches the neighbours. The system shuts off the water itself and you know straight away.
What happens during a power or internet cut?
It depends on the model: many controllers have backup batteries. Without internet you won't get the alert, but the valves still close. We'll tell you what to look for when choosing.
Can it be fitted without renovation?
Yes. Valves go on exposed pipes at the inlet, and sensors can be wired or wireless. If the inlet is hidden in the wall, we'll show you the options before starting.
Leak protection in Batumi: a flat that shuts off its own water
A washing machine hose never bursts while you are standing next to it with a cloth. More often it happens at night, while you are away or in an empty flat between seasons, and then the bill is not for a wet floor but for repairs at the neighbours' downstairs. Leak protection in Batumi deals with this without anyone's involvement: a sensor on the floor detects water, the controller closes motorised valves on the cold and hot water pipes, and the owner's phone receives a notification.
Who needs the system most
- owners who are away from the flat for months because they live in another country;
- those who let their property short-term and cannot check on every guest;
- flats that have already been flooded;
- flats with expensive parquet, custom furniture or a fresh renovation;
- anywhere flexible hoses run to the washing machine, dishwasher and water heater.
Installation prices
We install a basic kit for one bathroom, two motorised valves, a controller and three sensors, from 250 ₾. Each additional sensor under the sink, water heater or washing machine adds from 25 ₾, and a valve for a second water inlet or a separate zone from 70 ₾. Setting up notifications via a Wi-Fi module and app costs from 60 ₾, and an annual check with a test of all sensors and valves from 50 ₾. We buy the equipment kit according to the quote, or install one you have already bought.
Can it be fitted without renovation?
Yes, if the pipes at the water inlet are exposed: the valves are fitted straight onto them, and sensors come in wired and wireless versions. When the inlet is hidden in a wall or boxing, the plumber shows you the options in advance and what will have to be opened up. The situation can also be assessed remotely, from photos of the water inlets and bathrooms.
What happens without power or internet
Without internet the notification will not reach your phone, but the valves will still close: the decision is made by the controller, not the cloud. Whether the system works during a power cut depends on the model; many controllers run on batteries. This is worth discussing when choosing the kit, especially for a flat that stands empty for long periods.
How installation goes
- We inspect the water inlets, the places for the sensors and a dry spot for the controller.
- We choose the kit and agree the price.
- We install the valves, sensors and controller.
- We connect the Wi-Fi module; access to the app can also be given to your property manager.
- We simulate a leak at each sensor and check that the valves close.
If you are not on site, we film the last step on video. The guarantee on the system installation is one year.
