How much does decorative plaster cost?
Labour is from 45 ₾ per m², microcement is 70 ₾ per m² and wall preparation is 15 ₾ per m². Materials are extra. We give an exact estimate after a free survey.
Does it work in Batumi's humid climate?
Yes, as long as the base is prepared properly and each coat is given time to dry. In bathrooms, kitchens and hallways we seal it with wax or varnish so it can be wiped and doesn't absorb moisture.
Can I see the result in advance?
Yes. We make a sample right on your wall before starting, and it's included. If you don't like the colour or pattern, we change it before the main job.
Is microcement reliable in a bathroom?
Yes, with waterproofing underneath and protective varnish on top. You get a seamless surface with no grout lines for dirt and mould to collect in.
Is it worth it in a rental flat?
One textured wall looks great in listing photos and, sealed with wax, copes well with cleaning. If you're abroad, we can agree the sample via photos and video.
Decorative plaster in Batumi: see the texture on your own wall first
Choosing a texture from a catalogue photo is risky. Venetian plaster shot under studio lighting may look darker or cooler on a west-facing living room wall, and a palm-sized "concrete" sample will not show you how the pattern behaves across three metres. That is why every decorative plaster job we do in Batumi starts with a free test patch right on your wall. If you do not like the shade or the pattern, we change it before the main work begins.

A humid climate and decorative finishes
The main mistake with decorative finishes by the sea is rushing. Each coat must dry completely, otherwise moisture stays trapped inside, and after a season stains or fine cracks appear on the surface. We do not hurry the coats, even if it adds a couple of days to the schedule.
The second condition is protection. In the kitchen, bathroom and hallway we seal the top coat with wax or varnish. The finish stops absorbing water and grease and can be washed.
Microcement in the bathroom instead of tiles
A bathroom without a single joint looks more expensive and is easier to clean: there is no grout to turn dark. But microcement on its own is not waterproofing. It must have a layer of liquid-applied waterproofing underneath and a protective varnish on top. With this build-up the finish withstands both splashes and regular wet cleaning.
When decorative plaster comes to the rescue
A typical story in Batumi flats is wallpaper peeling off the walls because of the humidity. Textured plaster solves the problem altogether, because there is nothing to come unstuck. Other common jobs: a feature wall behind the bed or TV, refreshing worn decorative finishes in the hallway, getting a flat ready to let. For rentals a waxed texture is practical: marks are less visible on it, and it copes with frequent cleaning.
Stages
First we measure up and choose the texture, then comes the quote and a sample. Once everything is agreed, we level and prime the walls, wait for them to dry completely and only then apply the decorative coats and protection. At the end we clean up after ourselves.
If you are abroad, we will film the sample in daylight and evening light, and you can make the decision remotely. The guarantee on decorative finishes is 12 months. Tell us which wall you want to highlight, and we will suggest two or three textures to suit your interior.
Let's pick your wall finish
Send photos of your walls and an example you like. We'll come for a free survey and make a sample on the wall.
