How often to clean an AC in Batumi

If the smell comes back after a couple of weeks
The smell usually comes back for one of three reasons — all visible during a cleaning with disassembly.

AC cleaning in Batumi: what hides under the cover of the unit
From the outside the indoor unit may look perfect, while the fan wheel is coated in a grey felt of dust. Room air passes through the filter, then through the cold, wet heat exchanger, and everything the filter let through sticks to the damp fins. In a seaside climate this film quickly becomes overgrown with mould. Hence the cellar smell straight after switching on and the black specks on the louvre flap.
Which cleaning to choose

How the cleaning goes
We cover the wall and furniture under the unit with film and fit a special bag over the casing that collects the dirty water. We remove the filters and the cover, wash the heat exchanger with a product against dust and deposits, and clean the fan wheel separately: it cannot be reached without dismantling. Then we check the drip tray and the drain, reassemble the unit, start it up and show you the outlet temperature and that the condensate is flowing into the drain. A wall-mounted unit takes about an hour; cassette and ducted units take longer. We leave a clean floor behind us.
How often to clean
If the air conditioner in your flat runs seasonally, twice a year, in spring and autumn, is enough. With short-term rental or almost non-stop use, the interval shortens to 3 – 4 months.
