- Base preparation — insulation, edge strip, pipe fixing
- Manifold with mixing unit — assembly, pump, loop balancing

How much does water underfloor heating cost?
Installation starts from 35 ₾ per m² of labour; the manifold, boiler piping and pressure test are priced separately. We give the exact figure after a survey and agree it before work starts.
Water or electric — which should I choose?
Water is better value if you have a gas boiler and a large area to heat. For a bathroom or a single room electric is often simpler — our electrician installs it.
Do I need underfloor heating in Batumi if winters are mild?
Batumi winters are damp, and most flats have no central heating. Underfloor heating warms the tiles and dries the air near the floor, so the flat is comfortable without plug-in heaters.
Can you connect it to my existing boiler?
Usually yes, if the boiler has enough capacity. We check the model and current piping and fit a manifold with a mixing unit. The gas connection itself is done by the gas service; we handle the water side.
My underfloor heating stopped working — can you fix it?
Yes. We check the manifold, pump and air in the loops, and if there is a leak we locate it and replace the section. If only some areas are cold, flushing and balancing often solve it.
Water underfloor heating in Batumi: installation from a gas boiler
If your flat already has a gas boiler, water underfloor heating becomes the most economical way to warm the tiles and the air near the floor. Winter in Batumi is damp, and flats usually have no communal heating. A warm base dries out the lowest layer of air, where humidity lingers longest, and such a floor is pleasant to walk on barefoot even in January. Installing water underfloor heating in Batumi costs from 35 ₾ per m² for the labour.
Water or electric
A water circuit pays off when you have a gas boiler and need to heat a large area: the living room, the kitchen, the whole flat. For a single bathroom or a small room, an electric mat is the more common choice, and our electrician installs it. Connecting water underfloor heating to an existing boiler is usually possible if it has enough output. The technician checks the boiler model and its pipework, then fits a manifold with a mixing unit: it lowers the temperature of the heating water to a level that is safe for the screed and comfortable underfoot.
Prices by item
- laying the loops: from 35 ₾ per m²;
- manifold with mixing unit, assembly and connection: from 350 ₾;
- gas boiler pipework with pump and valves: from 180 ₾;
- pressure test with a signed report, and start-up: from 80 ₾;
- leak detection and repair of a section: from 120 ₾.
Pipes, insulation and the manifold are not included in these amounts; we buy them according to the estimate or install materials supplied by the client. The gas side of the connection is done by the gas service, the water side by our technician.
Why there must be no joints in the screed
We lay the pipe in continuous loops from the manifold and back, without a single fitting under the concrete. Any joint in the screed becomes the site of a future leak that can't be reached without a jackhammer. Under the pipes we lay thermal insulation so that the heat goes up into the room rather than down into the slab towards the neighbours. An edge strip runs along the walls to absorb the expansion of the screed as it heats up.
Pressure testing before the screed is poured
Before screeding, we pressure-test the system and draw up a signed report. We photograph the pipe layout, and these photos are worth keeping: in five years' time, when you need to drill into the floor to fix furniture, you'll know where not to drill. We start the heating only after the screed has gained strength, then bring it up to operating temperature and balance the loops so that all rooms heat evenly.
If the floor has stopped heating
We check the manifold, the pump and for air in the loops. When only some zones stay warm, flushing and balancing often help without opening up the floor. If there's a leak, we find it and replace the section of pipe.
