We never start with choosing a camera, but with a question: what exactly do you need to see, and where? For a flat that stands empty while the owner is abroad, a single pan-and-tilt camera inside is often enough. A villa with a yard and gates needs a system of several outdoor cameras and a recorder. So first we place the cameras on the floor plan, check the viewing angles and only then work out the budget.

A camera for a flat

We connect the cameras by cable with PoE power: one wire carries both video and electricity, so the camera does not need its own socket. An 8-channel video recorder, from 615 ₾, records around the clock; setting it up with a hard drive and phone access costs from 150 ₾. A guide price for a system of 4 – 8 cameras including equipment: 1 500 – 3 000 ₾.

Notifications without the noise

So that your phone does not ring because of branches, cats or cars on the road, we draw detection zones during set-up: the camera reacts only to the gate, the door or the parking space.

Where to store recordings

There are three options: a memory card in the camera, the recorder's hard drive or the manufacturer's cloud. A card is the cheapest, but it can be carried off together with the camera. The cloud does not depend on the hardware, but it needs a stable internet connection and a subscription. For a home or office we recommend a recorder: recording continues whatever the state of the network.

Cameras and short-term rentals

Airbnb rules prohibit cameras inside rental accommodation. For such flats we offer a video doorbell at the door or an outdoor camera covering the entrance, which must be mentioned in the listing.
