Do you connect the boiler to the gas supply?

Who connects the gas
Only the gas service may tap into the gas pipe; this is a safety requirement. We prepare everything for their visit: we install the boiler, flue and pipework, arrange the connection and are present at start-up. This stage is not included in our estimate; it is paid to the gas service.
What the installation consists of
We choose a spot on a load-bearing wall, with access for future servicing: a boiler squeezed between cabinets is awkward to clean. The pipework includes valves, a filter, the heating flow and return, and hot and cold water. We route the coaxial flue through the wall; it both draws in air for combustion and removes the combustion products. After start-up we set the pressure and the heating and hot water temperatures, and show you how to keep an eye on the system pressure.
Annual servicing
The best time to clean the boiler is autumn, before the heating season starts. The technician cleans the burner and heat exchanger and checks the sensors and the pressure. A boiler that runs for years without servicing heats less well and is more likely to throw an error precisely during a cold week.
